Working away: overtime and nights on one timesheet

For engineers working away from home in the UK or abroad: Muster records the week's hours, works out the overtime and counts each night away for the claim.

One week away, worked out

A week away on the rules Muster ships with: overtime past 39 hours, Monday to Sunday, at time and a half; every Sunday hour at double time; travel counting toward the week; £15 for a night in the UK.

DayRecorded
Monday5 hours driving out, then 4 hours on site; a night away

How each part is recorded

Before it goes to HR

Summary counts the period's nights, UK and overseas, and prices them in an Allowances row; Reports shows the overtime split, worked out on the server. Before you send the period, Summary lists what needs a look: working days with nothing on them, days with no country, which cannot claim a night, and days with no break recorded. If your employer gave you a timesheet workbook, Muster fills it in. See Your timesheet as Excel, CSV or PDF.

Every figure is an estimate before tax, worked from what you recorded, and never a payroll record.
